MazzleUI for Age of Conan

MazzleUI features:
  • Everything in the UI is in the bottom 160 pixels of the screen
  • 57 bindable buttons in three compact rows
  • Five micro-buttons to access inventory, feats, the character/skill window, the spell/combo window and the quest journal.
  • Buffs grow out from the unit frames so they don't take use any additional vertical space.
  • The type of enemy you're facing is clearly labeled in english: normal, elite, boss, mini-boss, minion, group boss, raid boss, etc.

Configuring Mazzle UI:

1) Set up Map: Open your regional map with whatever key binding you had set up for it. Resize it to the minimum size allowable. (If your world map is open as well, you may want to close it. I personally never use that map.) Drag it to the bottom right UI bottom panel, and then position it so that the title of map goes over the silver tab area of that UI panel. Then resize it to fill up the panel.

2) Set up Main Chat: Drag you main chat window to the left UI bottom panel. Resize it to fill up the panel. I configure the settings of that chat window to use a small font and auto-hide the chat box.

3) Set up Combat Log: If you dont' already have a combat log window, click on the little asterisk tab in your chat box to create a new combat log tab. Right-click on the combat log tab and select "Detach". Configure the settings of that chat window to use a small font and completely disable text entry. If your map is open, close it. Then move the new detached combat lag chat window to the right bottom UI panel. I size this one smaller than the left chat window so that it doesn't overlap anything in that UI panel and doesn't interfere with the map when it is pulled out.

4) Set up timber bars: Open up your options and select "User Interface" then "Advanced". Click "Show timer bars", hit "Apply", and then close the options. You'll see two timer bars. Select a target, so that you can see the target unit frame. Then drag the two timer bars to be directly underneath your player and target unit frames. Then go back to your options window and turn off the "Show timer bars" option and hit "Apply"

5) Set up your combo window: Perform the starting move of a combo. When your combo window comes up, move it flush with the top left of your player unit frame.

6) At this point, I'd tweak the sizes of the things you've set up to make sure you can access the four hotspots in the UI. These are areas of the bottom panel that contain hidden buttons to open up certain windows. Look at the screenshot titled "MazzleUI_SS1_Explained" to see where these hotspots are. You may need to resize/move the chat frames and map slightly to make sure you can click on them properly.

AoC Grinder FAQ

Q. How does AoC Grinder work?
A. AoC Grinder acts just like a normal human. It runs around on a "path" that YOU create and fights any mobs that it finds along the way. It looks at your health, stamina, and mana to ensure that you are capable of producing good results, and will use combat methods that YOU design. While AoC Grinder is looping through its path, you can do whatever you want without giving any thought to your computer screen. Essentially, AoC Grinder temporarily replaces you, as a whole.

Q. Can I hack with AoC Grinder?
A. No. I know there are several programs out there that give you teleportation capabilities, increased speed, etc., but that is not what AoC Grinder is meant to do. It is meant to harvest resources, grind experience levels, and obtain loot. In the long run, that's more than any hack can give you, anyways.

Q. Can I get banned for using AoC Grinder?
A. There's always a chance. However, because AoC Grinder is so new and there are no other bots that currently offer the same undetectability features that AoC Grinder has, the chances of you getting banned are very slim. Of course, this program is against Funcom's terms of service, so you DO need to know that using this program is not endorsed by the company.

Q. Is AoC Grinder detectable?
A. Absolutely not. VisualBots takes our programs to the next level with the most advanced undetectability features. We have remained hidden from Blizzard Entertainment with our PvP bot, VisualPvP, and it is safe to say we will continue to maintain success with AoC Grinder. There is always a chance the bot will be detected, but it is a slim chance at that.

Q. Is AoC Grinder easy to set up? I'm horrible with computers.
A. AoC Grinder is extremely easy to set up. In fact, the program sports what we call an "Easy Setup Wizard" which will walk you through every step in setting up the bot to ensure that you do not get confused. If you still need additional help, you can always ask on the forums or contact me.

Q. Does AoC Grinder require a special user interface? Do I need to use the default user interface to run this bot?
A. AoC Grinder is made to be used in conjunction with any custom user interface. There is not one type of UI that we prefer over the others; it is very simple to adapt the bot to your own preferences at any time.

Q. How much does AoC Grinder cost?
A. Please use the demo mode before purchasing to ensure that you like the bot. AoC Grinder costs a one-time fee of $14.95. After that, you will be free to use this software forever. Note, however, that by paying to use this program, you may not share your program key with other people. It is easy for us to track those who share their key, and the key will be banned from our database forever. Unfortunately, if this occurs, you will not receive a refund. This is simply how VisualBots protects its software from being pirated.

Q. How does AoC Grinder find things to kill?
A. After setting up your travel path, AoC Grinder will begin running until it sees a killable mob in the vicinity. When this occurs, it will stop traveling and will begin attacking the mob until it dies. Then, it will check for additional mobs that are attacking you, and if there are none, it will rest, then loot. If you set AoC Grinder to cast buffs on your character, it may cast them during this time as well. Then, it will begin traveling again, repeating the process until you want it to stop. As you would imagine, within just a few hours your bags will be filled with more money, valuable items, and your character will have gained a nice amount of experience points!

Q. Can AoC Grinder do quests for me?
A. Yes, to some extent. If you have a quest that asks you to kill X amount of mobs or collect Y amount of items, you can set AoC Grinder to hunt in a designated area where you need to kill a particular mob. When you check up on your character in an hour or two, you may find that the quests have been completed.

Q. Will AoC Grinder attack other players?
A. AoC Grinder will not intentionally attack other players, and probably never will. In the future, we may enable AoC Grinder to fight back when it is attacked, but for now we do not wish for this feature to be implemented.

Q. What happens if my character dies?
A. When your character dies, AoC Grinder can do one of two things: pause itself and play an alarm, or resurrect and continue using the path you previously designed to kill mobs. In the future, more options will be added for your character's death.

Q. What about eating, drinking, and buffing?
A. AoC Grinder is fully capable of eating, drinking, and buffing your character when needed. Simply specify the hotkeys you want to use to buff your character along with the cooldown time, and AoC Grinder will take care of the rest.

Q. I keep dying - what am I doing wrong?
A. First, make sure the bot is doing what it's supposed to be doing. Is it using its combos properly? Is it resting and using potions as needed? Is it casting spells properly? If not, you may want to re-configure the bot. Otherwise, you may wish to create a new travel path, edit your current choice of spells/combos used, or try to grind elsewhere.

Q. What mobs is AoC Grinder best at killing?
A. For the most part, AoC Grinder is capable of killing any mob - whether it is melee or ranged. However, it is always best for your travel path to contain as many melee mobs as possible. Also, if your character does not have a ranged pulling attack or a "charge" attack (such as Hellstep), you may want to refrain from trying to kill ranged mobs.

Q. What are the system requirements?
A. You will not be able to run AoC Grinder on a Mac or an extremely old version of Windows, such as Windows ME or Windowes 98. There also seems to be compatibility issues with 64-bit systems, but try it out anyways. Other than that, you should be good to go. Also, please note that you will need .NET Framework 2.0 installed. More than likely, however, you already have this installed on your system. When in doubt, just try to run AoC Grinder. It won't make your computer explode; I promise.

Q. AoC Grinder is crashing my game! What do I do?
A. There is no possible way for AoC Grinder to directly crash your game. More than likely, your system does not have enough memory to run Age of Conan very reliably to begin with, and with the addition of AoC Grinder rapidly controlling your character, your system runs out of memory. Try closing any other programs you have open, or get a memory upgrade.

Q. Can I type while running AoC Grinder?
A. AoC Grinder uses the movement keys to move. Therefore, while it is moving, you can type; however, while in combat, you will need to make sure your chat frame is not in use.

Q. I still can't get this thing to work! I'm so frustrated. What do I do now?
A. Try our forums. I will monitor them frequently to try to answer your questions as soon as possible. If I don't get to you in time, someone else will. The point of the forums is to establish an active community and give you the opportunity to discuss the bot with others.

Q. I'm not very good at creating travel paths for AoC Grinder. Can I have one of yours?
A. Drop by our forums. There is a category specifically designed to hold a horde of travel paths created by myself and the rest of AoC Grinder's users.

AoC Classes

Classes in Age of Conan are divided into four archetypes:

* Priest
* Soldier
* Rogue
* Mage

Priest

Priests in Age of Conan are a step beyond the stereotype of a vulnerable healer - they can call forth the power of their deities to smite and expose their enemies whilst protecting and aiding their allies. While the priest is certainly the cornerstone of a good team-in that they provide the vital restoration skills required to keep their allies standing in battle-they are much more than just a simple healer.

Priests draw on the strength of their faith, and their abilities are derived from the power of their respective deities. Each god provides unique aspects to their followers, from the lethal poisons of the snake god Set to the elemental powers of nature itself harnessed by the Stormcaller.

The priests of Hyboria can be broadly split between those that follow the shamanic path and those that dedicate themselves as high priests of a deity.

Trusting in their respective deities to preserve their lives priests largely wear light armor, and need to avoid direct melee confrontation wherever possible.

Priest classes are:
* Priest of Mitra
* Tempest of Set
* Bear Shaman

Soldier

Soldiers are able to wear heavier armor than any other class, the warrior is able to soak up damage like no other. The heavy armor also allows the warrior to resist knock-back attacks more than any other class. Later specialization classes gain a defensive and offensive stance, the warrior is able to decide whether to hunker down when under attack, or go into a battle frenzy and significantly increase damage output while lowering defense. This class is great for anyone who is familiar with hand to hand combat.

Soldier classes:
* Conqueror
* Dark Templar
* Guardian

Rogue

Unconventional and devious fighters, characters in the Rogue Archetype are those intent on causing maximum harm to their opponents through any means necessary.

These classes are not the disciplined soldiers of the warrior archetype, but cunning and often vicious opponents that their enemies would be unfortunate to meet in one of the many dark corners of Hyboria.

Capable of dealing great amounts of damage to their victims, they typically wear lighter armor for the sake of mobility and secrecy. Rogues use a variety of weapon combinations based on situation and necessity, dispatching their enemies in a brutally efficient manner.

Rogue classes:
* Barbarian
* Ranger
* Assassin

Mage

The Mage archetype is based around inflicting damage. While they're all able to do magical damage, their primary method of dealing damage varies, from the Herald of Xotli doing primarily melee damage, to the Necromancer which animates the dead to provide powerful pets. Mages wear either cloth armor or silk armor, so they are unable to withstand much direct conflict, however classes like the Herald of Xotli are able to fuse with the bones of the dead, which gives them great physical strength to withstand melee damage, and deal some themselves.

All the mage classes draw their powers from dark sources, whether demonic or undead. While this enables them to dish out huge amounts of damage, it comes with a price. Through spellweaving, the mages are able to bind together spells to create more powerful attacks. However, the more powerful their spell becomes, the larger is the chance of ill-effects as a result of spellweaving.

Only Stygian players can play the Mage archetype.

Mage classes:
* Herald of Xotli
* Demonologist
* Necromancer

Age of Conan Crafting Professions

Note that one player can only get 2 crafting professions out of the ones listed below.

Weaponsmith

Picking up this trade allows you to craft various types of weaponry, from swords to staffs, from daggers to crossbows. Everything needed to kill your opponents!

Armorsmith

If you wish to go the completely opposite route from the weaponsmith, try picking up the armorsmithing craft that allows you to craft various types of armor pieces.

Alchemist

Do you enjoy mixing things into vials and seeing how the result affects people? Then you should try your luck at alchemy, allowing you to make various types of potions.

Architect

City-building is an integral part of Age of Conan, and you will need someone skilled in the arts of architecture to draw up the plans needed for the different buildings.

Gemcutter

Monsters tend to drop rough gems that the gemcutter can turn into powerful enchantments, and these can be placed into other crafted items to make them more potent.
